The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative including angels, fiends, and dark forces expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of characters who will split off from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.

This explains, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might seem unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the group enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them few options but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Explorers and Strategists tables.

Fans can anticipate learning which players will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
